Gerry Grimstone is Chairman of Standard Life. He sits on the boards of Standard Life’s joint venture with HDFC in India， and chairs Standard Life’s joint venture with TEDA International in China， Heng An Standard Life. He was previously a senior investment banker at Schroders and ran businesses in London， New York and Hong Kong. He specialised in mergers & acquisitions and capital-raising for major companies worldwide. Gerry Grimstone has also held a number of senior appointments in the public and private sectors and is currently one of the UK’s Business Ambassadors.
