8月16日，一艘生活污水收集船停泊在千岛湖的温馨岛，来接岛上酒店的生活污水。
污水收集船负责千岛湖周边35个点的污水收集，包括沿湖酒店，无动力趸船，还有月光岛、猴岛、龙山岛等岛屿，保证了岛上的生活污水“零排放”
8月16日，“浙淳安游118号”游船靠泊千岛湖中心湖区的游船生活污水上岸中转泵船，将游船上的污水转抽到中转泵船内，进入下一步处理。
千岛湖上有150艘游船，每艘船的污水容量5吨至8吨，包括厕所、洗手池、厨房所有的生活污水，全部用这样的方式进行污水上岸，保证游船污水“零排放”

近几年来，浙江省淳安县通过湖面垃圾的分类收集处置、千岛湖生活污水“零排放”、游船污水“零排放”等多项措施的实施，让千岛湖保持了“天下第一秀水”的美誉。
